Havanese dogs: The Insular Breed

There are many controversies about the Havanese dogs, as it is unclear where it appeared. It might be the follower of the European Bichons that reached Cuba during the Spanish domination. They were raised as company dogs by the Cuban aristocracy, and it was named after the capital city of this country. The Havanese dogs are a small race, longer than other resembling races. With a proportioned head, compared with the rest of the body, it is an elegant appearance, really clean and aristocratic.
